Microsoft launched two new Copilot+ PC products in the Surface series, the Surface Pro 12-inch with a starting price of $799 and the Surface Laptop 13-inch with a starting price of $899 will be officially released on May 20.
It’s worth mentioning that both devices are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor instead of last year’s 10-core processor, and the screen size is smaller than the previous generation, but Microsoft promises to provide longer battery life.
Among them, the Surface Laptop 13-inch computer is called by Microsoft as the thinnest and lightest Surface notebook to date. It is housed in a high-grade anodized aluminum case and is available in Ocean Blue, Violet and Platinum.
The other Surface Pro 12-inch is called by Microsoft the thinnest and lightest Copilot+ PC to date. It maintains the signature versatility of a 2-in-1 device and can be used as a laptop as well as a tablet, with a built-in adjustable stand and a detachable keyboard.
It is understood that both devices are classified as Copilot+ PCs and are equipped with an NPU (Neural Network Processing Unit) capable of performing 45 trillion operations per second, or 45 TOPS, capable of running AI models without relying on the internet.
