Apple released the iOS 18.5 Developer Preview Beta 3 early this morning, but there haven’t been much changes. Currently, the iOS 18.5 version is mostly minor fixes.
This change is in the Mail & Settings app, where users can easily turn off contact photos directly in the app via the “…” button in the upper right corner.
In the Settings app, Apple highlights AppleCare+ coverage information even more.
According to the leaks, Apple is expected to release the stable version of iOS 18.5 in May, and is currently internally publicizing Apple intelligence in some countries and regions, including China.
It is reported that Apple plans to launch Apple Intelligence specially built for the Chinese market in the iOS 18.5 version at the earliest, cooperating with Baidu and Alibaba.
The revelation pointed out that since overseas large models such as GPT and Gemini cannot provide services directly in China, Baidu’s Wenxin large model will become the cloud “brain” of China’s version of Apple Intelligence, providing it with key intelligent support.
Previously, Baidu has been developing an artificial intelligence search function that can process images and text, and has upgraded the Chinese version of the Siri voice assistant.
Apple’s smart China version will also install an Alibaba-powered censorship engine to ensure AI-generated content complies with local regulations in China.
