On April 11th, MediaTek officially released an upgraded version of the Dimensity 9400+processor, which continues to evolve on the basis of the Dimensity 9400.
According to the official specifications, the Dimensity 9400+has increased the frequency of a super large core Cortex-X925 from 3.62GHz to 3.73GHz, which means an additional acceleration of 110MHz.
It has not been announced whether the frequencies of the three ultra large cores Cortex-X4 and the four large cores Cortex-A720 will also be increased. It is speculated that they will continue to be maintained at 3.3GHz and 2.4GHz respectively.
Prior to this, the Dimensity 9000+raised a single X2 3.05GHz to 3.2GHz, the Dimensity 9200+raised a single X3 3.05GHz, three A715 2.8GHz, and four A510 1.8GHz to 3.35GHz, 3.0GHz, and 2.0GHz respectively, making it the most aggressive. The Dimensity 9300+raised a single X4 3.25GHz to 3.4GHz.
The other main modules of the Dimensity 9400+remain unchanged, including the Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU graphics core, the eighth generation NPU 890 AI processor and Dimensity AI intelligent agent engine, Imagiq 1090 ISP image processor, etc.
There are two important upgrades in the technical part. One is to expand the Bluetooth connection between mobile phones within line of sight to 10 kilometers, which is up to 6.6 times longer than the Dimensity 9400. The Dimensity 9400 uses dual Bluetooth fusion BLR technology, with a maximum connection distance of 1500 meters.
The second is the addition of support for Beidou satellite orbit information, which can accelerate the time to first positioning (TTFF) by 33% even without cellular network connection.
The first batch of models for the Dimensity 9400+includes: OPPO Find X8s+、vivo X200s、realme GT7。
PS: MediaTek will also release the Dimensity 9400e, an upgraded version of the Dimensity 9300+, with the first model being the OnePlus Ace 5V.
